This is the second year fishing with Sue Becker. We headed out at 6am looking for tarpon but the wind picked up and we did not land any. Our first fish was a very large lady fish that we used for shark bait but once again no luck. I headed 6 miles due east of Key west to a nice channel that was totally protected from the wind, the first bait was instantly crushed by a very nice jack. Our next fish was a rarity, we landed a very nice 10-20 pound cobia. Our last fish of the day was a 5-7ft lemon shark that Sue landed after a 10 minute fight. We spent an hour on the flats looking for barracudas and permit but no luck.
